The Giant is walking away but looking back longingly over his shoulder, he’s injured. Th e wall is a physical separation, marking him as an outcast. He is still strong, and there is a touch of hope in addition to the hurt and longing in his expression. He’s retreating from sanctuary to the deep woods, Jøtunn, of his exile.

A great Frost Giant limps away battered, bruised and rejected by his clan. For now all he can do is look back on those causing his pain, as burning pentacles hang in the sky above him, lighting his way. Life has got you on your knees, wondering when the axe will fall, and that there’s no one to help you when it does. Th e stresses and worries are dragging you down and taking a toll on your health. It may seem like the last thing you feel like doing, but this is when you need to look for a life-line to drag you back out. Keep looking up, or you risk missing the opportunities that are out there for you!
MYTHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION: FROST GIANT
In Norse mythology, the Frost Giants or Jøtunn are descendants of the powerful creature known as Ymir, whose body forms the foundation of the world. These powerful creatures were the enemies of the Gods themselves and were said to represent the primordial power of nature, showing that it could be both beautiful and destructive. They could also be cruel, and intolerant, rejection a part of life for them, so this legend made an ideal depiction of the card.
