Making an appearance for the second time this week, and now in its rightful time slot, none other than the King of Pentacles, or, in this case, the Muse of Materials. Like I always say, this is one of those perfect Saturday cards. It is typically viewed as the ultimate Dad card, but, in this instance, we are honoring all beings who assume the role of “parent”.
Whether it is the King or Queen, there is a warm, cozy feeling associated with the type of parent the Pentacles suit represents. The type of person who concerns themselves with the security, care, welfare, and comfort, of others, is exactly who we have here. Their very power itself comes through the wealth, even if only meager, which has been accumulated. When you see this card, it is a good time to review your finances, maybe go over your budget; the seasons are changing, the holidays are approaching, and you may be wondering how you are going to afford new coats for your children, and presents for under the tree. This is the Mom, or the Dad, who make that special pot of soup to warm you on a chilly, blustery day, or, if the Sun is shining bright, put everyone in the car and make a special outing of going to the Christmas tree farm. The possibilities are endless here, but the nurturing nature of these earthy, Pentacle parents brings comfort to many. Be sure to listen to the videos included below with this post.
