Card of the Day – 5 of Wands – Thursday, February 18, 2021

This is such a playful looking card, suggesting that all is in good fun. However, the Universe may not agree. Do remember that Mercury is retrograde, and about to station direct in two days. The chances of your words being misconstrued is very high, especially if you think what you are saying is funny at another’s expense. It probably will not go over well. The Sun does enter Pisces today, as we prepare to conclude this astrological year, and feelings will be more sensitive, yours included. Do exercise compassion in your relationships, and strive to bring everyone together on the same page. There is a square building, happening tomorrow, between Venus and Mars, and things could get ugly really quick. If you do not think you can hold back from saying something you may later regret, you may wish to avoid the situation altogether.

The 5 of Wands is a card of tension, conflict, strife, struggles, competition, and when the aspects are right, it can become one of unity. Can’t we all just try to get along could be a widely-used phrase today, but the words may fall on deaf ears. Give it a few days, or more, once Mercury has gone direct, and then give the conversation another try; perhaps then others will be more receptive to your words.
