Tarot Card of the Day – 3 of Wands (Fire) – Wednesday, June 12, 2019

Posted on Updated on

I am happy to see this card show up during the month of June, because it shows me things are right on track. The 3 of Wands (Fire) is all about the future, and being able to watch it draw close. Change is definitely a part of this, and today shows the possibility of progress on at least one front. We have been discussing some target dates for this future self being on the radar; now is the time to prepare for what is coming. This card is not just about preparation, but foresight itself. Think of yourself as planning to take a vacation. Would you wait until the last minute to pack? Or would you have everything in your life organized in such a way so as to make your travels more enjoyable. That is what is indicated here. Take action to prepare for what is on the horizon.

The Sun opposes Jupiter today and you can benefit from this if you remain humble. Keep the long game in mind, and accept any wins or good fortune which come your way at this time. The 3 of Wands is often referred to as your ship is coming in; you will want to be ready for its arrival.

See you here tomorrow!

Tarot Card of the Day – King of Swords – Tuesday, June 11, 2019

Posted on Updated on

For almost three years now, the presence of this King has not been a pleasant one at all.  He always seems to embody the negative side of the King of Swords, that being the narcissist, the bully, the liar, and manipulator, just to name a few.  As an individual, when this card shows up with its negative aspects, this really is not someone with whom you would wish to associate.

However, today’s Moon in air-sign Libra, seeks balance and justice, allowing the positive side of this King of Air to come forth and be used for its highest power.  And, indeed he is power, especially intellectual prowess, being put to good use.  Honesty and forthrightness are a real thing and actually possible.  Mental clarity makes things, not only easier to understand, but ultimately facilitated with the greatest of ease.  Take that sword and cut through it all, bringing organization to all that is before you,.

Tarot Card of the Day – 7 of Cups – Monday, June 10, 2019

Posted on Updated on

Our 7 of Cups from the upcoming Fairytale Tarot is mesmerizing, isn’t it? This card always has such a Neptunian feel, often calling for a reality check of some sort, when we allow daydreams and wishful thinking to cloud our perspective. Today has a positive vibe to it, though, as the Sun opposes Jupiter, perhaps bringing one of those pie-in-the-sky options closer to being realized. The caution here remains, however, as we are on the verge of the second square of 2019 between Jupiter and Neptune. It is a key signature of the year, as your reality continues to shift. Do not be discouraged if all of the things you dream of are not yet available to you; accept what is working in your favor for now.

The 7 of Cups can hold a number of meanings, but what is most important to remember is not to be caught up in all the glitz and promises of hoping and wishing. There is nothing wrong with maintaining hopes and dreams, but having a firm grasp on what is truly real is essential, and nothing comes easy without putting in the necessary work.

See you here tomorrow!

THE CARD’S STORY BY: NATACHA CHOHRA

In Greek mythology, The Three Graces, were beautiful young goddesses of such things as charm, beauty, and creativity. In this card, the three young maidens dance in a circle with their golden cups upraised in a toast of joy. They are arm in arm, connected in friendship and love. The cups are overflowing with a precious liquid and the ground is covered with fruit and vegetables representing a sense of abundance. The Three of Cups is a card of celebration, accomplishment, joy beauty and love. The message of this card is that the Universe is looking out for you and you are about to be blessed with a period of success and joy. Time to celebrate!

THE CARD’S MESSAGE BY TRISH SULLIVAN

The Three Graces Aglaia, Euphrosyne and Thalia, daughters of Zeus, dance arm in arm in celebration and friendship, holding aloft their cups. Spend time with your tribe. Revel in the love and laughter that flows between you, the teasing and “in jokes” that only friendships like these can bring. Feel free to be yourself, knowing that you are loved, and not judged. In a world where friends are often far away, reach out to those you’ve not spoken to in a while, appreciating that even after weeks, your conversation will start up as though you’ve never been apart.

MYTHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION: THE THREE GRACES

In Greek mythology the Three Graces are daughters of Zeus in the majority of myths, although their parentage seems to change in some tales. They are considered to be minor goddesses usually representing the values of grace, charm and beauty and most oft en being associated with the goddess Aphrodite, whose robes they are said to have craft ed. Th e Graces were inspirational figures, oft en inspiring artists (though not to be confused with the Muses) and were said to dance for the Gods and bestow joy and happiness on any who saw them, which makes them perfect friends for this card.
