Card of the Day – Page of Swords – Thursday, August 22, 2019

Posted on Updated on

Our overly-curious, impetuous Page is sniffing out some new ideas today.  Perhaps they are courtesy of yesterday’s trine between Mercury in Leo and Jupiter in Sagittarius, whether it came in the form of a glorious message, or a thought, this could very well be a thought or idea upon which you need to act in the very near future.  I would venture to say that it would relate to wherever Leo energy falls for you..

In recent weeks, since Mercury went direct on July 31, you have really been antsy to move forward with your changes, but it is possible you have felt you needed a different method of delivery.  Between the Hanged Man offering a new approach, and the Page of Swords’ mental edge with brilliant new ideas, you should begin to see momentum in the coming days.  The next six weeks shall prove to be very useful in enacting routines and procedures which will enhance your possibilities.

See you here tomorrow!

Card of the Day – The Hanged Man – Wednesday, August 21, 2019

Posted on Updated on

Should you be pondering what to do about a speed bump, or glitch, which you have encountered recently, the Hanged Man is here to help give you a fresh set of eyes.  A new approach is most likely necessary and it will do you good to explore all available options from all possible angles.

This is in no way a bad thing or even a negative reflection upon you; sometimes the Universe throws up roadblocks, and the customary way of handling things will no longer do.  By forcing you out of your comfort zone, and changing the perspective with which you view things, you can ultimately find a better way to handle the matter.

See you here tomorrow!

Card of the Day – Knight of Cups – Tuesday, August 20, 2019

Posted on Updated on

The Knight of Cups, often considered the Bringer of Romance, for that very reason, is one of the most sought-after Tarot cards in the deck.  He can be a romantic, highly-creative individual, a bit of a daydreamer at that, and most certainly charming in his ways.  Charm is our topic for the day.

If you are familiar with a person or situation, you may use this card to enjoy a romantic encounter today.  With Venus sitting at the anaretic degree of Leo, all of the charm, romance, creativity, and the like, are now amplified. This sounds absolutely wonderful, until you consider the possibilities.  Should you meet someone new, and they are so utterly charming that they seem too good to be true, then that is likely the case.  Do not allow yourself to be gullible when it comes effusive compliments, or demonstrations of affection, especially with persons you do not know.  Con men could have a field day today, dialing things up more than a notch.  Overall, if you know very well with whom you are dealing, you should be able to tell if their lavish actions are the real deal.  You can use the creative side of this Knight today, with Leo’s passion for creativity giving its last hurrah, in order to make progress with an important project.

Featured Card of the Day – 5 of Wands – Crow Tarot by M.J. Cullinane

Posted on Updated on

Artist: M.J. Cullinane

Website: www.enchanteddecks.com

Card Meaning

Five crows spar in the sky. Each crow brings with it a different color wand symbolizing diverse histories, philosophies, and backgrounds. The conflict, although on the surface may look violent, the crows are competing in a friendly competition and not battling to the death. This card suggests that out of a friendly debate a good amount of knowledge will be obtained and progress in moving forward will occur. The Five of Wands may denote a meeting that brings various groups together to solve a single problem.

Card of the Day – The Hierophant – Monday, August 19, 2019

Posted on Updated on

Playing by the rules can conjure up all type of sayings, including “nice guys finish last”, but in the case of today’s Hierophant, it can prove to work in your favor to be more thorough.  The Hierophant is that higher authority, the status quo, the teacher, the rule maker, but your spiritual beliefs are also mixed in here.

Today there is a semi-sextile between Jupiter in Sagittarius and Saturn in Capricorn, both in their dignity.  So, we have the planet of expansion (giver of gifts and good luck) and the planet of restriction (also known as the taskmaster), telling you that the manifestation of your end game needs to be achieved through hard work and long-term goals.  So, in this instance, playing by the rules and coloring inside the lines can be to your advantage.  Use the Hierophant to conduct the proper research necessary to complete your mission in a successful manner.  The impetuous Aries Moon may perhaps be urging you to just jump right in, but taking a more cautious approach will work to your benefit.

See you here tomorrow!

Featured Card of the Day – 5 of Cups – 78 Tarot Mythical

Posted on Updated on

Keywords

Loss, grief, regret, choice

Element

Water

Astrological Association

Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

THE CARD’S STORY BY: REBECCA SINZ

I illustrated a gargoyle on a high pedestal, five cups worked into the architecture itself. Gargoyles served as water spouts on many buildings, so work well with the water element. Three fallen cups are in front of her spilling water over the edge, and two remaining cups stand beside her. Her pose is one of distress, in the background, a river dividing her from “home,” the castle. Also behind her is the bridge that could get her home if she could focus on anything but the spilled cups. I added storm clouds clearing to further illustrate the hope with the despair if you just look and see it.

THE CARD’S MESSAGE BY TRISH SULLIVAN

A Gargoyle sits, contemplating her inner turmoil in familiar surroundings as the world goes by. She is broken and distraught, unable to face the world, and unable to drag herself to the safety of her castle. Loss and regret have hit you hard, you need time to heal before you can move on. Let tears flow for now, knowing happiness and joy will return to your life in time. You may not see it now, but when you are ready, you will. In the meantime, take care of yourself and look for small joys when possible.

MYTHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION: GARGOYLE

The term gargoyle originates from the French legend of La Gargouille, a grotesque dragon who terrorized Rouen. They are carved into the architecture for the practical purpose of draining water away, but also served to scare the local peasants into the sanctuary of the church, as they showed the “evil” living outside. The way in which the gargoyles drain away water – in the five of cups, the tears of the grief-stricken made it an appropriate figure for this card.

Card of the Day – 10 of Swords – Sunday, August 18, 2019

Posted on Updated on

Most people tend to let out a very loud “UGH!” when this card appears, because they associate it with bottoming out, defeat, backstabbing, betrayal, crashing and burning, but one must consider that once this point has been reached “UP” is the only way to go.  Recovery of some sort is indicated here, and while our adorable angel looks as though she partied too late on Saturday night, I highly doubt the recovery is from a hangover.

Many of you out there have already overcome so much since things began to go awry back around 2011-2012, and now you find yourself at a point where you are ready to leave any lingering stress from that nonsense behind once and for all.  It is possible to find a means of recovery through methods considered less than mainstream, i.e., this card represents pain, and should you be trying to relieve it, you may visit an acupuncturist, rather than a traditional doctor, to seek relief from your ailments.  The means to alleviate stressful situations are all around you.  Today would be a good day to pursue those means, so that you may find yourself upright and moving forward toward your hopes and dreams.

See you here tomorrow!
