Card of the Day – 10 of Swords – Wednesday, May 2, 2018
And the light comes shining through; pick your head up and take a good look around as May arrives and stress subsides. There is a sense of relief with the 10 of Swords today, and while you may not feel as though things are anywhere near the 100% mark of what you have been working so hard to overcome and/or achieve, you can now come to the realization that it is doable on both counts.
Very often, when we see the 10 of Swords, we see it as being down and out, hitting rock bottom, feeling stabbed in the back or betrayed in some way, or even highly stressed. However, we are, once again, in a month which will bring extreme change to some facet of everyone’s life. This brings me to feel that the greater majority of you will start to see the positive side of this card, with the light shining in, which allows you to stand up again, and begin to move away from it all in a permanent fashion. You may seek alternative methods to deal with matters, but as I said, there is relief. Think of today as an accupuncture session that pinpoints areas of trouble and lets you say “Ahhhh”!
Remember that whenever anything in life gets you down it can not keep you there; the sun always rises again, and darkness is always replaced by light.

Card of the Day – 10 of Swords – Tuesday, February 13, 2018
Please, please, do not say, “Oh, woe is me! The 10 of Swords! Ugh!”. At some point in everyone’s life, you can hit rock bottom, and the only way to go from there is up. There are remedies to the situations which are stessing you out; remember, I have deemed this first part of the year 2018 as recovery mode. The steps you are taking, and the energy which the Universe is providing, as it conspires on your behalf, are enabling you to overcome a situation which has stressed you out for a very long time.
When life feels down and out, and you feel betrayed by the Universe, and everyone in it, it is difficult to recognize the fact that things can, and do, change. Today, you can seek remedies which will aid you in your ongoing recovery from a long bout of life’s betrayals. Gather your intentions for the New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius in two days, and prepare to manifest what is in your highest and best interest. Things always feel darkest before the dawn, and there is a new day dawning on the horizon!

Card of the Day – 10 of Swords – Sunday, December 31, 2017
Happy New Year, everyone! Today is New Year’s Eve, and the fireworks and celebrations will begin with our Aussie friends at midnight, and end many hours later as 2018 is rung in around the globe. You are probably looking at the 10 of Swords as the Tarot Card of the Day and saying “UGH”!
Do not let yourself be fooled. I truly feel the darkest days, the most stressful days are over now, and have been. It is always said things are darkest before the dawn, and that you need to bottom out, before rising to the top. This depiction from the Black Cat Tarot is so appropriate with its door. Brighter days are on the horizon. See that Exit sign? Go ahead, step through the door, and on into 2018!

Artist Interpretation
Two words came to mind when I started the concept of this card: space samurai. Isn’t that cool? I just loved the idea of a warrior in a space suit armed with a sword…what could be more ridiculously fantasy/sci fi? I didn’t want to get overly bloody with this painting because I find gratuitous violence to be distracting and rather juvenile, so there is little blood in this painting. I compromised a little by making the space suit red to hint at the violence. If you’re wondering about the swords impaling the guy representing bones, I wanted them to look utterly alien, almost like the swords of the enemy are alive. Also, I wanted my character to be heroic, even in death so first, I had him holding onto his own sword, even after death. Second, all the blades piercing him stabbed him from the front. He fell facing his enemies head on; he was not stabbed in the back while fleeing.
Card Meaning
Some great space battle has occurred, as an astronaut floats in space alone in the dark. Swords impale him all over his body, but still he clasps his own sword. For him, the fight is not completely over. He is not dead yet, and as long as there is breath in his body, he will continue to fight. Beyond his planet a light shines in the dark, as the sun arises, and hope surfaces anew.
When this card appears in a reading, you don’t need to be told that it’s been a tough time recently. You’re painfully aware of it already – and just when you thought things couldn’t get worse, they do. You’ve been feeling as though there’s no end in sight, and if you let yourself start crying about it, you’re not sure whether you’ll stop. But there is hope. This will pass – the sun will rise tomorrow, making everything brighter.

Card of the Day – 10 of Swords – Wednesday, November 22, 2017
There has been so much stress in recent years, and many methods have been tried to alleviate it. It appears now the dawn is rising off in the distance and all of the betrayals of the last five years are lifting. Will you ever encounter stressful situations again? Of course, but you will feel better equipped from this point forward to deal with them.
What goes up must come down, and while some may feel boldly ready to stand up and walk away permanently from the nonsense, there will be those who feel as though they have hit rock bottom. If the latter is the case, turn to the person next to you who is crying tears of joy over putting all of this to rest. They are a testament in life to the fact that things can, and do, change.

Card of the Day – 10 of Swords – Thursday, August 31, 2017
It has been a while since we have seen Charlie Brown; he appears to be just slightly tired. Recent weeks and events have been chaotic, even stressful for some, yet, lo and behold, today is August 31! It is okay to say UGH!, for August has been a crazy month of twists and turns, with change springing forth around every bend.
Remember with the 10 of Swords that there is the promise of a new day dawning. Tomorrow will be September, and by the Equinox on the 22nd, things will be shining much brighter in your world. Bid goodbye to August and prepare to step into the new identity which awaits you in the next several weeks.
As a side note, there have been betrayals which have come to light during this month. Eclipse season brings about endings which are permanent. So, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and prepare to move on to the next part of your journey. You were not meant to stay in this spot and dwell on every negative aspect.
