Card of the Day – 4 of Swords – Wednesday, October 31, 2018

Posted on Updated on

Happy Halloween, everyone! Every good witch needs to catch a break as the festivities of their season end. With October now behind us, and November upon us, we would all do well to regroup and recharge before embarking on the biggest game-changer month of the year. The Moon will be in Leo, simply perfect for finding the absolute best costume. It is doubtful you can take it easy the entire day, but by evening, just chillaxing may be the name of the game.

Aside from words such as respite, rest, and relaxation, this is also a card of recovery. We are in the midst of too many powerful astrological aspects to mention, but, suffice it to say that over the next eight days, there are phenomenal, extreme energy shifts, poised to set you off on that road to recovery, that one where you get to fix what needs fixing. So, if there is anything hanging over your head that still needs to be dealt with, know that you will be able to do so. In the meantime, put your feet up and know that tomorrow anything hanging over your head will still be there.

See you here tomorrow!

Card of the Day – 4 of Swords – Saturday, March 24, 2018

Posted on Updated on

Can we just call this a day of rest?  What a perfect weekend card. A time out, taking a break, a short respite.  Regroup, recharge, and recover…three very appropriate words for Mercury retrograde.

What is important to remember, when you see the 4 of Swords appear, is that the issues hanging over you will still be there later. So go ahead and take a break!

See you here tomorrow!

Card of the Day – 4 of Swords  – Wednesday, December 27, 2017

Posted on Updated on

This card feels aptly placed today. For many, it is mid-week between two major holidays, and not everyone is working today. The 4 of Swords can often represent taking a time out for a little respite. After all, it does both the soul and the body good.

In most places, the early part of the day will find the Moon hanging out in Aries; this is the best time to be getting things done. Later on, the Moon will be void-of-course, before moving on into the sign of Taurus, so this 4 of Swords energy is perfect for the void. It is a time to just chill; do not begin anything new, or attempt any important conversations. Any issues you feeling are still hanging over your head, which you wish to deal with, they will still be there tomorrow.

See you here tomorrow!

Featured Card of the Day – 4 of Swords – 78 Tarot Astral ~ Tarot in Space

Posted on Updated on

Artist:  Jayde Hilliard

Website:  http://www.jaydehilliard.com

Keywords

Retreat, reflection, meditation

Artist Interpretation

The Four of Swords is all about resting and reflecting between important tasks. I have chosen to illustrate an armored female figure resting motionlessly among the stars. The finished or lesser tasks are symbolically below/behind her. She remains at the ready to tackle a great task by the reaching of her hand to the great sword. Her cloak represents a reflecting mind, passing into lucidity with her life in relation to the rest of the universe by fading into star-stuff.

In the circle at the top part of the sword there are two prominent stars, one larger than the other. These represent important people that are in the care or heart of the central figure. Possibly a spouse and/or children.

Card Meaning

A female knight lies in repose, the three swords of her fallen foes beneath her. Her face is relaxed, but even at rest, she is still ready to face imminent threats, her hand reaching out for her sword. She floats through the endless reaches of space, her cloak and the plume of her helmet rising above her, like dreams and thoughts that drift away, into the universe. Detritus, to be cast off as she prepares for the next challenge before her.

When this card appears in a reading, it is time for a different kind of challenge….to take a break! Even if your to do-list is full to bursting, you need to recharge, relax and refocus your energies. Take some time, and walk away, even if for a few minutes. There’s no point in diving back in until you do…you won’t make much progress till you have gathered the strength you need to continue.

Remember that self-care is essential – you need to make it part of your routine, or you will burn out. The time you spend resting now will be worth it later.
