A nobleman in shiny sky-blue armor rides the white horse along the beach towards the rising sun. He holds a cup in his hand and look at the sea but not in the direction of his route. It seems the horse chooses the path, while the horseman is deep in thought and focused inwards. The picture on the cards shows a sensitive, introspective, and overemotional person.
Card Meaning
Knight of Cups represents a person whose life is ruled by emotions, but not practical reasoning. He or she is romantic and feels empathy for others. Below are some distinguishing features of this card:

Card of the Day – Knight of Cups – Friday, April 13, 2018
The Knight of Cups is the hopeless romantic of the Tarot, and known to be a bit of a daydreamer. Very often, when people see this card turn up, they think of it as love coming their way, but this guy has a tendency to meander and does not often take a direct route. So, know that, if you are waiting for love to find you, it is out there, but, apparently taking a few twists and turns along the way.
We have seen Death (endings), the Empress (beginnings), and now the Knight of Cups, so this week is giving a feel of moving right along toward your hopes and dreams. As I said above, this Knight takes his time, not as the meticulous Knight of Pentacles would, but in such a way that he often becomes distracted in his pursuit of his desires. You will arrive where intended when the timing is right, but, for now, you are being set off on the course to go see what the world has waiting for you.

Artist Interpretation
My version of the Knight of Cups for 78 Tarot Astral was based off of the Rider Waite version of the card. The winged helmet is a symbol of creativity and imagination. The white steed symbolizes purity and evokes a sense of calmness and ease, as well as power and initiative. The red fish swirling around the figure act as a cape, a symbol of creativity and consciousness. This is reflected in the liquid offered in the knight’s cup. The palette consists of warm reds, pinks, purples, and oranges to suggest a romantic mood to the piece, as well as to give the impression of an alien atmosphere. I’ve also added dual moons in the sky, alluding to the romantic nature of this card. The knight is gazing at the viewer with a wry smile. He is charming and alluring… a knight in shining armor.
Card Meaning
When this card appears in a reading, it is suggesting that your soul is crying out for magic, love, poetry, romance and flamboyance. Give yourself the opportunity to appreciate the finer things of life. To indulge in fantasies, and ignore the more practical sides of life, even if only for a short while. Pamper yourself, or let someone else treat you. Give your heart the reins for a change, and see where it leads you.
Just make sure that your emotions and passions don’t run away with you, losing you on a melodramatic flight of fancy.
The Knight of Cups can be suggestive of a sensitive, imaginative character who is currently in your life, or coming into it soon. They are suave and gentile, and their sweeping, dramatic arrival coincides with an invitation, offering you a chance to open up and look beyond the mundane world, into the possibilities that abound. To walk a different path for a time.

Card of the Day – Knight of Cups – Monday, January 1, 2018
Happy New Year and Full Moon blessings to all! What a day! What a year! Today is the annual Full Moon in Cancer, and this one is also a Supermoon. The Knight of Cups is one of the biggest fan favorites, signalling love on its way to some. But, you know me, I have a different take on this, especially today.
Today’s Knight of Cups is a bit of a daydreamer, and why not; today is a holiday for pretty much everyone. And, even those who are working may indulge in a little bit of daydreaming as the New Year gets under way. Tomorrow, Uranus will end its retrograde, meaning that there will be ZERO retrograde planets until March 8 when Jupiter retrogrades. You will want to be very busy in the coming weeks, pursuing all of your dreams and projects. The Universe is giving you a green light to move ahead and make them all happen. So, today, go ahead, kick back, relax and dare to dream. If you can dream it, you can achieve it!

Card of the Day – Knight of Cups – Sunday, November 26, 2017
Ah! I know how y’all love this card, and today I am going to say, well, maybe. Maybe there is a romantic overture of some sort, maybe there is not. Mercury, after all, is preparing to retrograde in one week, so the likelihood of someone showing up on the scene, or contacting you, is not totally out of the question. Just do not try to make something of it, for the timing is currently all wrong.
The Knight of Cups is a daydreamer, a Don Quijote, if you will, roaming the countryside. His path is not a straight one, and he is in pursuit of anything which strikes his fancy. He is the card of the hopeless romantic, and does not always have a perception based in reality. Let this Knight be you today, preparing to set off on a new journey toward your hopes and dreams. There will be a great deal of zigging and zagging along the way. And, know that, if you are wondering where your Knight in Shining Armor is, well then, he, or she, is likely out there working their way through their own obstacle course.
If you can remember that love is out there, even if it is not right in front of you, then you will know that, when the timing is right, the Universe will allow your paths to cross. And, although Neptune is now direct, its effects can still be felt greatly in your nightly dreams. Check them out and dare to follow yours wherever they may lead.

Our romantic, whimsical Knight of Cups roams the galaxy, not necessarily taking the most direct route. Many feel hope in the love department when this guy is around, but he is representative of so much more, perhaps an offer or proposal coming your way at this time. He is known for being more than a bit of a daydreamer, wishing and hoping that one day all of his fantastical ideas will come true.
Currently, we are in the throes of one of the biggest transitions of your life; it will not be the only one, but it will be an experience you long remember. It is ok to dare to dream; perhaps yesterday’s Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at Aquarius has given you cause to do so. You may find you are a bit distracted today, and that is ok. Occasionally, we all need a break from our daily reality.
