Artist Interpretation 

A girl with flowers in her hands stands near a well in the patio of a Babylonian palace. A boy who is depicted from behind sits on the ground in front of the girl. He holds a cup in his hand, and five cups stand on the ground. There are many flowers in the picture, and all cups are filled with flowers. A spectator cannot see the boy’s face but can see the girl’s who looks very young and innocent with a broad smile. Her image symbolizes nostalgia about childhood.
