Upright meanings: Obstacle, dead point. Being defensive, keeping feelings under control.

Artist Interpretation

A blindfolded woman sits on the sand near the sea with two swords crossed against her heart. This scene symbolizes a situation of blocked emotions when a person denies right feelings, preferring to be cold and ignoring other people’s attempt to communicate with her or him. The crescent moon underlines the depressed and miserable state of mood in this card.

Card Meaning

Two of Swords represents a deadlock situation or an interpersonal barrier that causes internal conflict. The emotional closeness is for good in some cases, but here it is harmful. The distinguishing characteristics of this card are the following:

– failing to make a decision;

– being afraid to act;

– avoiding responsibility;

– ignoring future complications.
