Artist Interpretation
In the heart of the desert, a man who is depicted from behind greets a strange caravan of two camels. The first camel is loaded with the four big cups. One cup is filled with fruits, second – with jewels, in the third cup is a snake, and in the fourth cup sits a bizarre creature that looks like a gargoyle. The second camel carries three caps filled respectively with a man’s head, ghost’s mask, and model of the Ishtar Gate. The picture on the card represents a situation of dreaming or getting caught in illusions.
Card Meaning
Seven of Cups represents a situation of wild dreams and building castles in the air. Facing multiply choices results in procrastination or developing unrealistic plans. It is a case of temptation and dissolution. The distinguishing characteristics of this card are the following:
