Keywords

Trouble, loss. Finishing something with the disappointing result, being defeated.

Artist Interpretation

Three men stay on the seashore. While two men are watching the sea, the third man collects three swords, and two swords lie on the sand at his feet. A gloating grimace on the face of the third man shows that he conceives something evil. The sun has already set, and the half-darkness enhances the sense of an impending situation. The picture depicted here correlates with the meanings of this card, representing a conflict situation.
