Charity, generosity. Sharing the wealth, being wasteful.
A nobleman in a rich robe stands at a Babylonian palace’s gate decorated with six pentacles. He tosses several coins to a beggar, sitting on the ground and frames his hands to grab coins. The second beggar, sitting next to the first one, also stretches out his hands hoping for a handout. In his left hand, the nobleman holds the scales as if he weights who deserves what. This scene covers at the same time giving and receiving, dominating and obeying, being on the top of a social ladder and its bottom.
Six of Pentacles represents a situation of receiving presents, profits, or inheritances, being sponsored, supported, or rewarded. It is possible to help others as well as to receive help. Some distinguishing features of this card include:
– receiving an award;
– sponsoring somebody;
– offering support;
– being generous.
