During a Mercury retrograde there is a tendency to re-evaluate relationships. People you might not have had contact with in a while could resurface and contact you. It is up to you to decide the appropriate action and deem them to be worthy of your time. If things did not go well with an individual in the past, it is highly unlikely they have changed and reappear to you as a new person. It is possible, but not probable. If you find yourself asking the question as to why you always seem to wind up with the same outcome, then look no further than your choices. They have patterns, and you use a set of criteria which needs to be acknowledged. Only until you realize, and learn to choose differently, can you effect the more suitable relationships you desire.

While the Lovers card is indeed and about love and relationships, it is primarily about the choices involved in them.
