Normally, I am talking every day about some energy which is going on in relation to the cards. Today, I simply want to speak of the personality of the Queen of Pentacles. While the Empress may often represent a mature, female relative, the Queen of Pentacles embodies the epitome of the person we all call “Mom”. It does not matter how old you are, she is always there for you. The nurturing nature of this Queen is simply not toward little ones, it is for all loved ones. She makes a good sounding board for all of your crazy ideas because she is very practical of mind, and very down-to-earth in nature.
Very often, she is depicted in a wooded/nature setting showing her earthly connection. Unlike the Queen of Cups, who is the person you want by your side in a crisis, or the ride-or-die Queen of Swords, our earthly Queen of Pentacles is that person who pulls you close and allows you to rest your head, offering comfort. She will be the first to tell you when you are going about things all wrong, but the one who is there to listen when they do. I hope you are all fortunate enough to have a Queen of Pentacles in your life; she is a basic necessity!
