Artist Interpretation
I was studying for my yoga teacher certification when this project was in its early stages, so the astral theme spoke to all of the reading I was doing about mediation and different levels of consciousness.
The mythology behind the nine of cups was a perfect match for a lovely client I was working with at the time who embodies so many of the qualities of the man depicted in the card. Wise and fulfilled he levitates in deep meditation. Good vibes all around!
Card Meaning
An old man meditates, transcendent and fulfilled, he manages to levitate high about the Earth and all its worldly cares. As he does this, nine golden cups spring forth from his hands, forming a rainbow archway above him.
When this card appears in a reading, it is suggesting that for you, the tide has turned. In your future, good things abound, happiness and joy springing forth everywhere. Everything you want is finally right there, within your grasp. Your trials and hardships, both financial and emotional, are coming to an end, you have overcome it all.
