Artist Interpretation
For the astral theme, I chose to portray my newest regular character, Baby Moon, along with myself as an ancient alien, representative of memories. Old memories are being accessed by the moon, and as the old wise moon moves past, he stops to look over his back/shoulder and relive a memory of him as a kid, being presented with one of the cups of flowers that would help pave the way in his life. The ancient alien is the passer of the cups, a memory record and Egypt was the first place where ancient people used to teleport to and from other parts of the world through the Giza pyramid. Wise moon was reliving old good nostalgic memories as he passed through “town” and onto the rest of his life, moving on from old times to new. Can you spot the four crystals in the artwork? A turquoise on the Chelle-Alien’s necklace, an aquamarine in Kid Moon’s hand, two behind him on the ground (amethyst and citrine).
The Card’s Message by Trish Sullivan
When this card appears in a reading, it is an opportunity to take a stroll down memory lane – look through some old photos, indulge in some memories, and revisit your youthful innocence. Take the opportunity to see how far you’ve come, what qualities you’ve kept, and which you’ve maybe left behind. Let this exercise be a chance for you to reclaim some of the facets of your personality that you’ve lost to time, the innocent joy you have felt in your past.
While you’re indulging in nostalgia, spend some time remembering gentler times, picking through less obvious, but possibly more meaningful memories. Focus on the smaller gestures of love and generosity that you’ve experienced, and indulged in over the years, letting you appreciate and remember the goodness that exists in the world. Let your history inspire your future.
