Normally, when we see the Sun card, life is all sunshine and lollipops. Today, however, I must say, this can go either way. Words such as fun, warmth, vitality, and anything else which denotes a positive exuberance and favor from the Universe can be used to describe this card. On the heels of a positive Solar Eclipse in Cancer, which has been working to bring you great things, this card is aptly placed. Let us not forget that in the Northern Hemisphere, Mother Nature may be blazing and the Sun itself may be a scorcher.
On the flip side, we have things such as depression and feeling anything but warm and fuzzy. I tend to discuss these things when there are so many retrogrades, and Mercury is currently in shadow, preparing to retrograde in nine days. More importantly, the Sun itself is approaching the very tail-end of Cancer, an extremely emotional sign, Mars is getting closer and closer to the South Node in Aquarius, where it will be at the Lunar Eclipse on the 27th. Mars is currently retrograde, and much of its energy is focusing inward for many, leaving many people more cranky than glowing with positivity. If you are feeling any of these, remember, this too shall pass. It is, after all, energy, but this week it can feel a bit overwhelming. Once again, it is a good idea to know how you react to certain astrological situations; it can help you navigate your emotions better. If you are feeling depressed, seek help.
