One of my favorite cards shows up today and I am reminded of the old adage, “Necessity is the mother of invention”. This creative Page of Cups is just that…creative, and in this most trying of times affecting the world population, this creativity is being applied in so many ways. There are those who have used their imaginations to keep the rest of us entertained, while not losing sight of the gravity of the matter. It is important, after all, to remember that laughter is good for the soul.
But the kudos go out to the unsung heroes, those who still go out there everyday, striving to keep us all safe and well, nourished and healthy, and they, too, have had to come up with creative measures to be able to do so. To those who are manufacturing hand sanitizer in place of beer and vodka, we thank you. All of the seamstresses at home pumping out as many face masks as they can in a day, so that healthcare professionals can keep their only N95 mask clean for days, you matter. As I said, necessity, which is likely an understatement, is bringing the creatives out of the woodwork, doing their part to come up with solutions to monumental problems being faced worldwide.
