Once upon a time you had goals, and hopes and dreams, of a different nature. You possibly held high hopes that things would turn out exactly as you had imagined. But, alas, no, and the question begs as to whether or not you have spent enough time in pursuit of those dreams. It is possible that things were just fine, but you have realized that the world hold so much more. No matter which scenario fits your life, now is the time to turn your back on all of it, and to venture out there into some new territory, and to find what you have yet to discover.
The 8 of Cups is all about abandonment, moving on, disappointment, and can represent a portion of one’s life which has outlived its purpose and usefulness. It is time to go in search of new things, and to see what lies over that next mountain which needs to be climbed. So much awaits you, and this does not mean you must leave behind everything you know, it is likely just a portion, something which has taken too much of you, and has not given anything in return.
