Card of the Day – 9 of Wands – Sunday, September 13, 2020

It is not always easy to rise up again, especially when you have grown weary from the journey, and have already pushed yourself back up so many times. But, nevertheless, you persist, and it is that persistence and determination which sees you through each day. Admittedly, some are easier than others, and some ask that you keep on going, even when you do not wish to do so. There is something special in this moment, as you stand tall and firm, having weathered the storm, and ready to pursue whatever else life has on offer.

If you have been with me for a while, then you know there are two songs which I connect with the 9 of Wands, ‘I’m Still Standing’, on occasion, and always and forever, ‘Eye of the Tiger’. When you think you can’t and you push through the pain, that day is going to come where you feel like Rocky Balboa running up the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum. It is a feeling which says you are a survivor, and no matter what has been thrown at you, you keep on going.
