Card of the Day – 9 of Wands – Wednesday, January 13, 2021

New Moon blessings! If this energy is wafting with a bit of familiarity, it may very well be the New Moon 23° Capricorn being conjunct Pluto, and if some of the topics seem to be at least a year old, they very well may be. But, this time, you seem finally able to pull something off, through good, old-fashioned persistence and determination. Raise your hand if you are tired. We see the figure in the card elbows deep into his project, determined to finish it, even if he pulls an all-nighter. You have definitely come too far to turn back now, and being able to launch today or tomorrow, to show the world what you have been doing, will certainly make it all worth while.

I often compare the 9 of Wands to two different songs… ‘I’m Still Standing’ by Elton John, and the classic from the original ‘Rocky’, ‘Eye of the Tiger’ by Survivor. This is a card of resilience, one where you can keep on going, even when you do not think it is possible. You could fall down nine times, and still you rise nine. Weary, yes, but ever so determined to succeed, and this is your New Moon to make it happen.
