I do not think any of us should be surprised to see the Temperance card today. The advice it has to offer is especially pertinenet for this time, and perhaps for more reasons than you would think. Yes, it is the holidays, and the reminder to not overindulge is very clear, while doing the everything in moderation thing. Keep in mind that Venus is retrograde through January 29, and Mercury is about to enter shadow in three short days, so that trip to the mall to spend your gift cards on sale items may not be in your best interest. It is wise to avoid electronics and high-ticket items at this time. I see today’s Temperance card as more of a reminder to pace yourself in all areas of life, doing nothing over the top if you can help it. Today’s energies lend themselves more to pjs and Netflix.

The Temperance card is one of balance, focus, and moderation, so not allowing yourself to become overly involved in any one activity, or pasttime, will serve you well in the long run. Today is best spent in creative pursuits, expanding your spiritual knowledge, or even just taking in a movie.
