Occasionally, when I am trying to decide the right way to explain something to you, I may consult the internet, as in today’s King of Cups, labeled ‘Curandera of Water’. When searching ‘Curander’, here is what I found: noun: curandera (in Spain and Latin America) a healer who uses folk remedies). This is so appropriate! I believe the depiction on the card conveys this very well, and it definitely appears to be some form of self-care, one of the best ways to help oneself to heal. If you have been with me for even a little while, you know this is my favorite King, and you can feel his gentle spirit, kindness, and generosity.
The King of Cups is the good guy of the Tarot for sure, not simply because he is such a kind soul, but for his caretaking abilities, and his bedside manner so to speak. He is someone who rushes toward a crisis, rather than fleeing from it, and he is the master of poise, never allowing himself to break a sweat and show fear, even in the face of disaster. Do something good for yourself today, to nurture mind, body, and spirit, and see the wonderful benefits being good to yourself will bring.
