Some days, the energies present in the Universe can get the better of the best of us. Today may turn out to be one of those days, no matter who you are, or how positive your outlook. To what can we attribute this? I believe we can credit several reasons. Firstly, tomorrow is the New Moon occurring at 4° in the emotional, sensitive sign of Pisces. Even though the Moon is not in Pisces today, it does not mean you can not feel overwhelmed in an emotional manner. If you are typically affected by a New or Full Moon, then this type of response is to be expected. Second, pretty much no matter where you are, there is an exceptionally long void-of-course Aquarius Moon. It covers this entire 24-hour period. The longer it goes on, the more lost it is possible to feel. I guess there should be a third, because, hey, we have to blame Mercury for being retrograde. But, as I said, this is all just energy, and it will pass.
The 5 of Cups is a card of focus, emotional focus, indicating preoccupation with things lost, failures, relationships that did not work out, and the like. What tends to happen here is that pity-party mode is activated, and one tends to forget about all of the good things taking place in their life, choosing to focus only on the negative ones, and feeling sorry for oneself. The advice here is to turn your focus to what you do have, and to realize that what was lost is merely water under the bridge. Take what you do have to work with and grow it into something wonderful. The most important thing to remember here is that all energy changes and you will not feel this way for long.
