I suppose it may depend upon your era, but whether you choose to play ‘Everyday I’m Hustlin’, by Rick Ross, or ‘Doing the Hustle’, from ‘Saturday Night Fever’, chances are many of you out there are trying to figure out how to hustle to make ends meet. Being willing to hustle and do what it takes to manifest what you need is a very admirable trait, indicating the very essence of the 9 of Pentacles…independence. To stand on your own two feet, and know that you can take care of yourself, even if at times it feels a little scary, is actually a good feeling.
The 9 of Pentacles is a card of wealth, and your identity as it relates to the comforts with which you surround yourself. Your current circumstances, and how you respond to them, are setting the stage, and redefining your identity for a long time to come. In the age of social distancing and being in quarantine, learning to fend for oneself may not actually come as a choice, and may be seen more as a means of survival. Good things can come from learning to take care of you, without the need for another individual.
