As our celebration of Pride Month continues with the newly-released Pride Tarot, the Hierophant, or Messenger card, comes to us in a very timely manner. It is certainly representative of the types of scenes we would be seeing for Pride Month, however, they are now mostly happening as online events. That does not in any way diminish the Messenger’s appearance here, for there is a great deal of teaching to be done, and messages to be spread, regarding rights for all people, including LGBTQ+ lives, including black lives.
The Hierophant is a card which is representative of a certain hierarchy, both church and state, the establishment, the Pope (in many Tarot decks, this card is labeled Il Papa). There is no shortage of persons right now, standing before a crowd, whether it be in person, or over the internet, using their pulpit to spread their message. And there are those who are listening as well. Never forget, that you too, have messages to share with others, through your experiences, imparting your wisdom gained, to help another along the way. Forever the student, and often the teacher, you are always learning as you continue this journey of life.
