Today’s post is one very dear to my heart. You see, it is my Mother’s birthday, so happening upon this card today, the card I would always associate with her, I am taking it as a sign. I always had the great fortune to share this birthday with her, and they have not been the same since she has been gone, but today I feel as though she is with me, watching over me, even now, as she always did. Let me tell you, you are never too old to need your Mother, and mine was definitely a Queen of Pentacles. She was there for me throughout her life, and while we were not rich, I never was made to feel as if I did without anything, and it was never about the big things, rather the little ones, and making certain we had what we needed. For this, I am forever grateful, and for today, thankful for the reminder your Mother will be your Mother forever and ever.

The Queen of Pentacles truly is a Madre of Earth, being grounded, practical, and nurturing, providing for all for whom she cares. She is the ultimate Mom, and her superpower is her ability to provide, and perhaps even to save a little for a rainy day. Happy Birthday, Mom!
