While this card is in the top three of the most-feared cards in the Tarot, it should be embraced. By separating yourself from that which has hurt you or no longer serves your purpose, you are making way to allow better times and celebratory moments into your life. There has been a bit of a cosmic storm lately, which you have likely felt, but now you can begin to release the pain which was caused, clearing your path for new and wondrous things to be yours. Let the storm clouds lift and rip off the bandaid for change. You will be so glad you did. 

The 3 of Swords is considered to be a card of betrayal, pain, heartache, and separation.
