Another balance card! I often feel Temperance may be one of the most overlooked of the Major Arcana cards in the Tarot. Everyone is looking for love and money, but Temperance is extremely important. It shows where there is a need for moderation; if your focus is far too great in one direction, your life can become off-balance, primarily your health. While the Devil may be the addiction, Temperance is the need to adjust your focus to deal with the addiction itself.
Let us not forget that Venus is retrograde, so beauty and appearance, especially if things are misaligned, may become an issue. One need only look in the direction which has been ignored; there are many types of addictions and imbalances, each person has their own with which to deal. Whether it is food, alcohol, gambling, phone, drugs, or any other myriad of things, today’s card may serve as a wake up call that you need to tone something down and put your life back into proper perspective.
