Happy New Year! Welcome to 2022. The New Year is not exactly off to a running start, and today’s card would like to remind you of a few things. First, Venus is retrograde through January 29, and then of course there is Mercury which is now in its pre-shadow phase and preparing to retrograde this month. A very conservative approach on your part is being suggested at this time. Hold onto any cash or gift cards which you may have received, as you await the cosmic green light to move forward with them and any new projects you may want to launch. It is possible you may need to keep a little something for a rainy day. As we approach tomorrow’s New Moon in earthy Capricorn, you will have more grounded energy to support you.

The 4 of Pentacles often gives off a vibe which asks you to stay put, and while you may be thinking good riddance to 2021, this card is telling you not charge forward into this New Year at this time. Conserving your resources, such as your finances and your time could be in your best interest now. You will know when the time has come to switch gears and live life full throttle, but this is not it. Relax and enjoy your day. You have plenty of 2022 left to navigate.
