New Moon blessings! Today is the New Moon 12° Capricorn, and it is the perfect time to set your intentions for the coming year. It may not be the best of times to initiate new things, with Venus retrograde and Mercury in pre-shadow, but you can certainly plant the seeds of your intentions now. Today’s card feels very connected to yesterday’s 4 of Pentacles, and you are being urged to hold the line. This is a defensive stance, and much of this appears to be about timing. In this moment, do not back down, do not give an inch, and be prepared to stand your ground.

The 7 of Wands always gets me singing Tom Petty’s ‘I Won’t Back Down’, and this is in a good way. You do not currently have enough clarity to go charging into 2022; there will be plenty of time for that. People can either be with you, or against you, today, but it is up to you to maintain your position and stick to your convictions.
