‘Tis the season. The 6 of Pentacles is one of those cards which very much embodies the holiday season, and its charitable energy which is prominent at this time. I must admit, that throughout 2017, this was a very big theme, as many stepped up to pay it forward, or to lend a helping hand to those in need in times of crisis. It definitely warms the heart to know that caring and sharing exist on an every day level. What is sad, however, is that it takes catastrophic events, or acts of terrorism, before we hear about it. Make kindness an every day thing, an absolute common practice. It is contagious.
On a more personal level, it is important to remember that a season of giving does not mean you need to go overboard, either spending all your money on gifts you can not afford, or giving away your last dollar. There is an important lesson to be learned in curbing one’s generosity, so that it remains balanced, thereby leaving you in a better position to continue to help, while remembering that you must also help yourself.
