This is a great card for today for several reasons. First, let us talk about the planets…Jupiter, the giver of gifts and good luck, turns direct today at 14° Sagittarius. This is home for Jupiter, and the Empress card is one of abundance, so yes they do go hand-in-hand. Next up is Mercury, the little trickster is still in its shadow phase through the 15th, but today adds to the Fire energy by re-entering Leo, the sign where it first began this retrograde period. Last, but certainly not least, is Uranus, which begins its annual retrograde today at 6° Taurus, and will go direct January 11, 2020.
It is Uranus upon which I wish to focus today. Uranus is currently in Taurus for the next seven years. Taurus, like the Empress, is our Mother Earth. When Uranus makes such important movements, we typically see unusual weather patterns and events occur. This does not feel as strong to me as when Uranus changes signs, but Mother Nature will likely receive a mention somewhere in your day. The conversation regarding climate change will pick up now, allowing for the review and implementation of new options to curb its escalation. It would seem the Empress is well represented in the Universe today. She can also be a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, or even your BFF, with whom you interact in some way today.
