The mysterious Yeti is a rare creature, reluctant to venture out. But with the snow blowing at his back and an urge to follow his heart, he emerges from his cavern high atop the mountain and steps to the edge. He realizes that beyond the edge is a ledge, giving him the courage to step down, and begin an exciting new journey. Bursting with potential, he is ready to embrace any opportunity this journey offers. He has no fear, thanks to his snowy companion Frosti, who will help him navigate while encouraging him to keep moving forward. Armed with a sack of resources and a renewed motivation, the mysterious Yeti embraces this new adventure one step at a time, forging his own path, ignoring uncertainty, anxiously waiting for the treasures he will discover.

Th e Fool is wonderfully ignorant of any danger ahead of him. Unburdened and pure of heart, he steps out on a new pathway, determined to enjoy himself, and open to the possibilities and adventures before him You’re being offered a chance to make some real changes and start a new path, but it’s a choice, not a certainty. This could be an opportunity to move outside of your comfort zone – the Fool is here to suggest that you’ve gone as far as you can within your current sphere. But this is on you. You could stay, and play it safe, or you could learn more and carve out a new future for yourself. You just need to make a leap of faith and take those first few steps…
MYTHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION: YETI
A yeti is a fantastical creature that appears in the myths of several countries. Stories of these wild, humanoid, snow creatures are found around the globe, from Nepal to British Columbia and North America. Th e term Yeti is found in legends of Himalayan people, depicted as a primitive man/ape who was a mountain based deity. These creatures have become the stuff of urban legend, with many people hunting and tracking sights of Bigfoot, Sasquatch and the Abominable Snowman, alongside many other names. Given the exploratory nature of Th e Fool card, we felt that a Yeti was a wonderful depiction of a pure creature taking his first steps into a larger world.
