Card of the Day – The Hierophant – Friday, August 6, 2021

In a civilized world, such as the one in which we live, there are guidelines set up which are meant to create unity through conformity. We see this in religions, with each having their own beliefs and moral code by which to live, and also through the levels of establishment-based hierarchy, which is implemented in both schooling and local to national levels of elected representatives. This is how we survive as a unit, and these systems have been set up as a means of guidance and protection. However, the Sun, at home in Leo, and Uranus, feeling trapped in Taurus, are clashing today. Given the fact that Saturn and Jupiter are both retrograde in Aquarius does not help matters any. Uranus is a rebellious planet, seeking to go against the norms, and such behavior will not go unnoticed, or ignored. Rules and regulations are there, and shall be imposed, by those in charge, to protect the many from the few. This was a tough one to write, by the way.

The Hierophant, often known as Il Papa (the Pope), is our spiritual guide, one who teaches us, an authority figure, and definitely one who lays out the rules by which you are governed. This will obviously be felt on a personal level as well, but I felt in order to explain it, I should go for the universal example.
