I have noticed that more than any other suit in the Tarot, the Wands cards make me want to break into song. The 7 of Wands is certainly no exception, bringing to mind the timeless hit by recently passed icon, Tom Petty, ‘I Won’t Back Down’. Let’s be clear here, there is a difference between not backing down, and not budging. Not budging is a refusal to move, when all indications are likely clear that you should. Not backing down, and standing your ground, is about your refusal to give up an inch of your progress. There is strength in your change, and you believe in yourself, your goals, and your convictions.
I always think of the 7 of Wands as the old-fashioned game, Tug-of-War, and you are winning. Stay strong in your convictions, rally your allies to your side, and do not worry about any naysayers in the crowd pointing fingers. People either believe in what you are doing, or they don’t, but if they don’t, it does not matter. You do not appear to need them where you are headed. So, turn that music up today, and sing along, proceeding with your plans, and working toward your goal.
