I am so not surprised to see this card show up today, as I associate the chosen depiction with things I have seen in the cards, indicating the timing to be Carnival, or the beginning of Mardi Gras, which culminates on Shrove Tuesday, February 28. I have chosen the King of Pentacles from the recently-released, highly-collectible deck, 78 Tarot Carnival ~ Cirque du Tarot. There is a very interesting story behind the card and the artist who designed it; it appeared as the Featured Card of the Day, kicking off the Carnival series on my page.
By the way, Full Moon Blessings, everyone! Today is the Penumbral Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo, and while Leo is more of a fiery King, he is a King, nonetheless. The King of Pentacles is an extremely down-to-earth grounded individual, nurturing toward loved ones, and concerns himself with the provision of security for them. Eclipses bring up erratic, unpredictable changes, things you could simply not have anticipated, and this King’s energy can help you make it through with a generally practical approach. Being laid back at eclipse time is not perhaps the easiest thing to do, but ultimately to your best advantage; it is not always necessary to partake in the chaos, simply because it exists. Someone has to have a square head on their shoulders and concern themselves with the overall well-being of those for whom they care.
