I work on my blog well in advance, so the cards are already chosen for some time to come. The next step is for me to choose the image I want to use to convey the meaning for the day. So, when I arrived at today’s card to begin working on it, I realized that this card was none other than my Mother, and that today is the day I lost her. While Mothers are typically embodied by the Empress card, which is also fitting, my Mother was indeed the Queen of Pentacles.
So, today I am going to tell you about my Mom and you will understand what this energy represents. The ability to nurture through a gentle kindness is perhaps an understatement. My Mom was a very compassionate individual who spent a great deal of her time and life taking care of others, even if she had to walk two miles each way to do it. Her practical side, at the time, I probably always thought of as nagging. The reality was that she could see the practical side of things and would not hesitate to state such in order to guide us. And, while she never held down a fancy job, she always worked very hard and had more money set aside for a rainy day than those who made more. As for the dog on this card, I do not think I mentioned in the video, but, at one point I moved somewhere and could not take my dog and she went to live with my Mom. They became inseparable and when I would go to visit the depiction on this card pretty much sums up the way things were. My mother passed on July 3 and a month later the dog also left me. I miss her more than you can possibly imagine. So, for those of you who are fortunate enough to have a relationship with your Mother, appreciate and treasure her; she will not always be there, but no matter how old you are you will always need a Mother.
See you here tomorrow!
Thanks in advance for your share!❤️

Crystal Healing
I have been noticing the synchronicity of your cards and words— in my life. Some days, I will not read your work until days later, and still the synchronicity would be there.
Here is where I am going with this.
Your mother died today… My mother was born today….however, she transition approximately 8 years ago.
You are almost “scary.”” in a good way 🙂

Sending you love and healing, my Mom has also left us. You’re right it’s always nice to have a mother to turn to. Now, I’ve had to grow up since she’s gone!
What a beautiful tribute to your Mother and a lovely reading of the card! Though i’m a new student to tarot , I read empathically. I do readings this way by feeling the energies of the card but know my journey to learn the tarot will be a life time and perhaps many lifetimes to come to truly gain rich insights it shares! I love your blog and look forward to learning more about these amazing cards.
Sorry for your loss, mime is gone too. But they are still around
Thank you for such a lovely take on this Queen. I have long considered her “my” card, in part because I’m a Capricorn. I felt this affinity especially this past spring when my husband was hospitalized, and I went to bat for him with the doctor assigned to him. (For me, this Queen is especially loyal to her spouse.) BTW, I understand how you feel about your mom. Today would have been my dad’s birthday, but we lost him last September.
