Yesterday someone very near and dear to me went to settlement on a new home. How does that relate to today’s card, you ask? Well, in August 2014, she returned home to have her husband say he no longer wished to be married. And, while she is currently still waiting on a divorce, this is definitely an indicator of where she’s at now as are so many of the rest of you. For it has been an incredible journey since that date in August 2014, to come to this place to be able to stand on one’s own two feet. I always speak of self-reliance and independence and find myself saying this to people who wish to be in relationships. There is no better feeling when entering a relationship than knowing that you are good on your own, with or without that other person. It makes the relationship that much more special.
So, to those of you who have found your way to this moment know that it is not about standing alone, it is about standing in your own power, and that from this point forward you can achieve everything that you dream.

Thanks for this. A year ago, I had just celebrated my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend. I was happy and thought I’d found my soulmate and the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. At the start of this year however, we broke up because he said didn’t love me anymore and wanted something different which he felt I couldn’t give. It came totally out of the blue and it broke me. I was lost and lonely and all my believe in everything was just gone.
It’s only been during this last few months that I’ve come back and now that I’ve had time and space, I’ve come to understand that we weren’t actually right for each other. I still hope that one day in the future we can get back together, but for now I’m enjoying being single. I’ve missed having that sense of freedom to just be me and do whatever I want. And I can totally see now that I need time to learn to stand alone. Even though that’s something I’ve never been good at.
