Card of the Day – Queen of Pentacles – Friday, May 6, 2016

Today is the New Moon in Taurus, and there is plenty of earthy energy around at this time. I do not think anyone is more fitting of this earthy energy than the Queen of Pentacles, perhaps even moreso than The Empress. The Queen of Pentacles embodies all that is good and nurturing; she is that Mom who is by your side when you are sick, stroking your forehead and watching you rest, even when she needs rest herself. This Sunday, the 8th, in at least America and Canada is Mother’s Day, and the Mexicans, no matter where they live, celebrate on the 10th. So, this really is a perfect card for today, as all Mothers may be very much on someone’s mind.

There is a practical, homebody feel to this card. It rather reminds me of that motherly energy which we have all experienced, reminding us of right from wrong. Use your voice of reason today when making decisions, in order to determine if you are making a choice which is in your highest and best interest. Frivolous notions simply will not do; keep your focus on what is necessary to maintain a secure environment. Be certain to put that into your New Moon intentions, so that you may manifest what you need for the long haul.

See you here tomorrow!

Thanks in advance for your share!❤️

  1. Hi Colleen, Incidentally, Mother’s Day is the same in Australia as it is in the US & Canada. However, for me personally, it’s a very sad day, due to my only child & son being estranged for almost a decade now. I have done everything humanly possible to try to resolve this, to no avail. In addition, my experience with my own mother was pretty traumatic for all but a handful of years of my life, because she was not a very nice person at all & only wanted to control me & crush my spirit. In saying that, she has not succeeded. Having studied tarot, with a fair understanding of this queen, I have to find another way of attributing it. So for me, this card represents The Great Mother/Goddess, or my Inner Nurturing Mother (the one that has kept me alive to the age of 60). Other than this one though, I absolutely love the spot-on nature of your readings, & will continue eagerly awaiting them each & every morning. Thank you so much. Blessings, Jules
