Let’s have a serious talk here today. I often feel the magnitude of the Temperance card is overlooked and everyone focuses on ones like Death, The Tower and Judgement. While I may have chosen the Muppets Tarot to keep the mood light, the message is not.
There is no one out there untouched by alcoholism, drug addiction, mental illness, overindulgence, and compulsive eating disorders. Whether it is you, or someone around you having difficulty coping, today’s energy has the feel of needing to take a realistic look at where these issues crop up in your life. The time has come, especially for health purposes, to nip any of these bad habits in the bud. That new beginning is very close at hand, but if one does not learn to do things in moderation, then falling down drunk or overdosing will inevitably preclude you, or someone dear to you, from making it that far. There is a gentle patience required with this card, not as in the Strength card which often suggests you bite your tongue and temper your words. Here, some gentle, persuavive words may be necessary, even if the conversation is taking place in the mirror.
